ブルーカーボンクレジットとは、マングローブ林、海草藻場、塩性湿地などの沿岸・海洋生態系が吸収・貯留するCO2量を科学的に算定し、価値化して取引可能にしたクレジット。森林による「グリーンカーボンクレジット」と同じ仕組みを持つ自然由来カーボンクレジットの一種だが、対象を海洋生態系に特化させている。
