AG-004 Ver.2.5 バイオ炭の農地施用 (Application of Biochar to Agricultural Land)
適用条件（eligibility）
Biochar must be applied to mineral soil within agricultural land or grassland as defined by the Agricultural Land Act (Ver.2.5 clarifies the treatment when this cannot be objectively confirmed). Biochar type must have applicable default carbon-content and 100-year retention-rate values (per the Japan GHG Inventory Report / IPCC), or be produced from a feedstock/pyrolysis-temperature combination for which such defaults apply. If wood/bamboo (including bamboo charcoal) is used as feedstock, it must be of domestic origin. Feedstock must be unused biomass, not primary-harvested timber grown for biochar production, and free of contaminants/improper additives/illegally-sourced material. Environmental and social sustainability must be ensured via compliance with agricultural, food safety, environmental, and labor laws. If biochar-applied land is converted away from agricultural/grassland use within 10 years of application, previously issued J-Credits for that land must be retired or backfilled by the project proponent (or successor, on transfer of the land).
